The J. Allyn Taylor Community Service Award

Since 1983 the J. Allyn Taylor Community Service Award has been recognizing grade 10 and 11 students who exhibit outstanding service and leadership in their community. The award pays tribute to J. Allyn Taylor, a former President of Canada Trust and an extraordinary community leader.

Affectionately dubbed “Mr. London,” J. Allyn Taylor was instrumental in revitalizing London Community Foundation in 1979 and continued to serve the community as Honorary Chair of the Foundation’s Board until his passing in 2006.

Investment Readiness Program Now Open for Applications

London Community Foundation is offering eligible organizations that are working to do good in London and Middlesex County the opportunity to access up to $100,000 in non-repayable capital through the Investment Readiness Program. This is part of a national initiative led by Community Foundations of Canada and funded by the Government of Canada that will provide $18.5 million across Canada to seed and grow social enterprise.
