Vijay Venkatesan, CA, CPA
As Vice President, Finance & Operations at London Community Foundation Vijay oversees finance, accounting, IT, and human resource activities across the organization.
Vijay is an ex-officio member of the Finance and Audit, Investment and Social Finance Committees and supports these committees in executing their fiduciary responsibilities and strategic initiatives.
Active in the non-profit community, Vijay currently sits on London, Ontario local boards for the London intercommunity Health Centre (LIHC), Childcan, Leadership Table for the Mayors London for All: Poverty initiative. Vijay also sits on the Lawson Foundation’s Audit Committee, has been a Mentor for the InSPIRE Mentoring program at Fanshawe College for the last five years, and is directly involved in several London affordable housing task force initiatives.
Vijay holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Western University and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Windsor. He obtained his chartered accountant designation in 2003. He commenced his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Assurance and Advisory Group, where he provided professional services to some of the firm's top tier clients in the London area. Just prior to joining the Foundation, Vijay held several senior finance positions at George Weston Ltd (Loblaws) and Rogers Communications Inc.
