LCF is deeply saddened by the passing of dedicated volunteer and community leader, Deb Peckham.
Deb was a beautiful person and the London Community Foundation was blessed by her friendship and many contributions.
Magically capturing her genuine caring spirit, Deb’s photo was featured in LCF's Vital Signs 2018 report. Deb was a featured speaker at a follow-up event where she graciously shared some of her personal life experience to convey how circumstances, often out of one’s control, lead to challenges with stable income and housing. Deb spoke so eloquently and from her heart rising about her nervousness.
Deb took seriously her commitment when she joined as a volunteer Grants committee member in 2020. She humbly contributed her knowledgeable insights with conviction and a dedication to keeping the community’s best interests top of mind.
We recognize there were many ways in which Deb gave back to the community beyond her involvement with LCF. Of particular significance was Deb’s participation in the Leadership Table for the Mayor's London for All initiative.
She truly was a cherished volunteer and friend. We will miss Deb.
