Giving and Granting Over the Holidays

Dear Friends and Supporters,

The end of the year is fast approaching and exciting things are happening here at London Community Foundation. We know this is the time of year many of you like to grant. We want to make your holiday giving as easy and seamless as possible.

The Foundation will be officially switching our system provider which will offer our fundholders and donors a more user friendly and efficient portal for making donations and grants. This new system is expected to launch in Spring 2024, and our staff have been working hard the past few months and will continue to be working on implementing this new system over the holiday season.

Please note: Convent Garden Market, the building where our office is located, will be closed on December 27, 2023 and January 2, 2024

To accommodate all the granting requests during this busy time, please note the following two deadlines:

• For grants to be completed before December 24, 2023, the deadline for your grant requests to be made is November 17, 2023.

• 2023 grants must be requested by December 31, 2023, to count for 2023. Please note that a grant request received between November 17 and December 31, 2023, may be fulfilled in January 2024 due to the high volume of granting during this time of year.

If you wish to make a donation, please note:

• Gifts received by December 31, 2023, will be eligible for a 2023 tax receipt.

• Our office is open; however, our teams are working in the office at different times. If you need help dropping off or picking up a donation, just let us know.

• You can make a secure online donation here.

• You can donate by e-transfer by adding London Community Foundation as a payee, then directing the e-transfer to Silvia Ventura at finance@lcf.on.ca.

• To donate securities, our brokerage firm must receive the securities by electronic transfer from your broker/advisor by December 29, 2023.
