Beryl Ivey

Our natural environment is undoubtedly a greener and better-protected place thanks to Beryl Ivey (1924-2007). Mrs. Ivey’s lifelong interest in gardening – coupled with her travel experiences with her husband, Richard M. Ivey – inspired decades of leadership and philanthropy in conservation and the protection of biodiversity.

Mrs. Ivey created the Beryl Ivey Endowment for the Environment in 2004. This Field of Interest Fund supports projects that focus on protecting, restoring and preserving the environment. The fund has granted to many organizations including ReForest London, Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Centre, Nature Conservancy of Canada and Carolinian Canada Coalition.
