But for a few years away at law school in Toronto, Alec Richmond lived his entire life in London. Joy, originally from New York City, came to London as Alec’s bride. They spent the rest of their lives together, devoted to life in London. Their dedication to the city is reflected in their bequest to London Community Foundation – a meaningful gift upon their passing.
Alec and Joy believed that all people – whatever their socio-economic status, race or culture – should be respected and treated as equals. Their family fund puts this belief into action forever, supporting the most pressing needs in London and Middlesex County as part of LCF’s Community Fund.
