London and Middlesex Organizations Share Results from Community Services Recovery Fund Support

London Community Foundation was proud to support 33 charities and non-profits in London and Middlesex in 2023/2024 to help them adapt to the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding, totalling $1.3 million, helped organizations improve the efficacy, accessibility, and sustainability of the essential community services that they provide.

The local funding was part of a national collaboration among Canadian Red Cross, Community Foundations of Canada, and United Way Centraide Canada called the Community Services Recovery Fund (CSRF), a one-time $400 million investment from the Government of Canada.

“This Recovery Fund program made it possible for community services organizations to address operational excellence in a wide range of areas such as fundraising, communications, technology and governance.” said Lori Runciman, Director of Grants, London Community Foundation. “It is inspiring to see how the London and Middlesex charitable and non-profit sector diligently worked to adapt, modernize and become more resilient in preparation for the future.”
