INVESTING IN RESOURCES. With the help of a small grant from London Community Foundation, the AIDS Committee of London is able to purchase new computers for their Virtual AIDS Resource Area

The AIDS Committee of London is a community-based, charitable organization providing HIV-related services to people living with and concerned about HIV/AIDS in London and area. Their service users include thousands of people: those living with HIV/AIDS, their partners, family & friends, and those who are concerned about HIV/AIDS - anyone at risk for HIV, and anyone who provides services to people with, or at risk for, HIV. Information about treatment is rapidly changing.

One of the best places to get up to date resources is online. Options for individuals without home computers and the internet does exist in London however people living with AIDS or HIV still experience an incredible amount of discrimination, isolation and fear. Many are apprehensive about sharing their status with strangers for fear of being ostracized.

The goal of the VIRTUAL AIDS Resource Area is to create a safe space for people seeking AIDS or HIV related information and help them maintain good health while reducing feelings of isolation.
